so i guess my camcorder has weird video format or someting because i cant add its clips to windows movie maker. I heard that i have to download osme kind of "codec" dont know what is. I also tried to find other free movie makers for download but couldn't. Can someone help, greatly appreciated..

If your camcorder and computer do not have Firewire connections, than you will need a video capture card or USB Hardware. I currently use a Hauppauge device. The device comes with the required software for video capture.
