You have to buy a video capture divice USB in any computer store or electronics sales and then you connect it to the usb port on your computer then in the divice you connect the 3 cables: yellow , red and white on it.

the divice would cost you like 50 dollars no more and the mayority of divice bring it own program to edit , then you press (capture) and then press play in your camera and it will record it on you computer .

The USB cable that the camera brings is only for pictures .

The one that I telling you is for video capture.

I hope this can help you .

Have a great day !

How do i add music to videos on windows movie maker?

How do i add music to videos on windows movie maker?windows media center

Hi there. What you need to do is:

1. Import a video file. Once the video has loaded into Movie Maker, look at the storyboard line (the 1/3 of the screen at the bottom).

2. There is a button that says "Show Timeline". Click on it. If it says "Show Storyboard" you can skip this step.

3. Import a music file (use the menu at the lift hand side under the "1. Capture Video" category. If you can't see it there, click on the down arrow button next to the title to make them appear).

3. Look at the timeline at the bottom of the screen. It is divided into three sections: Video, Audio/Music and Time Overlay.

4. Drag the video file in the "video" part of the timeline (top part).

5. Drag the audio file in the Audio/Music part of the timeline (middle part)

Preview your movie. You should be able to hear the audio piece and view the video. Now for something a bit more advanced (and optional)...

If your video file already contains some sound and you don't want that to be heard (just the audio file you have imported), there is a way to do it.

Look at the timeline again; specifically, at the video part. There is a small "plus" (+) sign next to it. Click it so it becomes a "minus" (-) sign. Note that a new part opened in the timeline.

It has the name of the video's filename and shows a histogram. Right-click anywhere on it (the word Audio becomes bold). From the menu that appears click on "mute".

I hope this helps :)

If you want super good like Sony Vegas, your going to have to buy it, so if you like Sony Vegas, bite the bullet and but it or one of the others.

You wont find real good free ones, besides Windows Movie Maker, that's about the best you can get for free.
imovie for mac is really good, but obviously it only works on mac. it is fun fast and easy
softwares suggested by samuel adams are good

ULEAD video studio can be used to edit and convert to a number of formats .Through adobe premier pro. you can even make double roles!!!!by changing bckground of a video by another video

A Question? about on how to use the windows movie maker on my computer... can someone help please?replacement windows

When you open the program w/c is the windows movie maker. In your left pane, there are 3 tasks under each task there are options, let say 1 capture video. If you want to add clips then click the import video options under it,will ask you the locations, just point to the locations where you have your clips or video and that's it, you can do that multiple times if you have many clips to add. Same as for other options if you want to edit it or add sounds, music and so fort... If your not sure about what you're doing click the help options on top of that page and you should be able to understand it more.

Here's how to add music and clips, but if you go to the help section of windows movie maker it will tell you how to.

You go to file, and import into collection, to add clips and music.

For the help guide, click help, then help topic, and from there it will tell you how to do everything.

Create a menu/title screen to a video i created using Windows Movie maker, and Burn to DVD?

I created a video using windows movie maker, but before I put it onto a DVD, is there any way to add a menu/title screen so that you could navigate through the DVD easily, etc.? Also, does anybody know how to transfer the video from Windows Movie Maker to a DVD? Lastly, i would like to add the video on youtube, is there a time restriction on youtube? Because my video is 10 minutes. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Create a menu/title screen to a video i created using Windows Movie maker, and Burn to DVD?windows explorer

1) The DVD menu would only be available if you happened to burn the movie onto the DVD through Windows DVD Maker. Straight from Movie Maker would only cause a repeated loop.

2) Like I said, you'd need to use Windows DVD Maker or something similar to burn the DVD. Of course, you will also need a CD/DVD drive that allows for the burning of DVDs.

3) The restriction for YouTube videos is 100 MB of size, and about 10 minutes in length. You'd probably be cutting it close, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've seen videos much longer than 10 mins.

You should also note, that to do any of this, you will need to publish the movie file directly onto your Computer, so you can use the file for said DVD Maker and for YouTube. To do this, click on the "Finish/Publish Movie" option (or whatever it is for your Windows MM version and choose the "Save for Playback on My Computer" option that comes up. Make sure to publish it to best quality, because compressing it to a certain file size could cause video loss. From there, you can upload it to YouTube and post it into DVD Maker.

Can I Import videos from a dvd to Windows Movie Maker?

I put a dvd in my cd-rom and tried to import it to windows movie maker, but of course the files weren't compatible. Is there any way I can import these videos? Do I need to hook up an external player?

There may be an easier way but you can use http://handbrake.m0k.org/ to rip the DVD to .mp4. Then use http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ to convert it to .wmv or .mpg which MovieMaker should accept.
