I have a dvd, i want to put the dvd on my computer, and take the video file from the DVD to send them to Windows movie maker to make a compilation.! But i can't seem to find the video file!Help!

How to get some video file from a DVD to Windows Movie Maker on windows xp or vista?internet browser

the files you are looking for: is in the VIDEO_TS folder with the extension .VOB

But there are several files as DVD has Menues and submenues.

And the sound is decoded in MPEG-4 format.

SO: Windows Movie Maker will not help you. this is a Microsoft Cheap Crap basically.

You need Adobe Premiere for Windows, and then import the files with .VOB extension.

You have to render file first to see the result, as you remember DVD is MPEG-2 format.

And if you are using Mac: the software is: Final Cut Pro.

It may be problematic to import VOB files if the whole DVD is protected, so you need first to remove Copy Protection.
