How do I upload a video to youtube from Windows Movie Maker?

I made a whole video on Windows Movie Maker, I went to upload on to youtube and all i get is: Failed (invalid file format). Can someone give me some hints on how to put it on youtube? thanks

When you finished making the video did you just save it or publish it? You need to publish it to your computer in order to upload it to youtube. Here is a brief tutorial;

1) Open the file in its raw fomat as a project.

2) Publish the file to your computer,

3) Save it as a WMV, MOV or AVI file no more than 100MB

It should now be ready to upload to youtube.

I tried many times to upload a video before publishing it so I know exactly how frustrating this is.

You need to save the video as an .avi

Right now it's proably a .wmm or somthing like that?

You go to File, then Save movie as, or create movie
You need to click "file" in windows movie maker, then "create movie file" and after thats done it will save into .wma\wmv and then, you can upload that file to youtube.

I think you made a video by Windows Movie Maker then save it as a Project. Save it as a Movie by giving name and remember where you save that video.

Go to youtube click on Upload, search where you have saved the video click upload then give required details.

I am sure your problem will be solved.
