How do I import audio tracks I've bought into Windows Movie Maker dispite DRM ?

Why are tracks I buy on Wal-Mart's music store locked out of Windows Movie Maker. didn't I buy the rights to use them on my computer? How do I get around this?

If your software allows you to burn them to a standard CD audio track, you will find that after doing so you can add them to your video editor.

You need software that will "hear" your mp3 and then will create a new mp3 without the DRM. There are many programs capable of capturing audio streams and encoding them as mp3s. One of them is "Replay Music" from Applian Technologies (www.applian.com).

First you have to download "Replay Music" (or any other similar program - just do a search for "audio streaming capture software"). Second you will have to configure the software to use your sound card as source and to record your music as a new mp3 file. Third, while Replay Music is running, you will start your other MP3 player and play the music. Replay Music will create a new mp3 file. Last, enjoy!

PS. I do not condone piracy. In this case you bought the music. "Fair use" allows you to hear your music whenever and however you want. Thank you for supporting your artist.
